How could anyone possibly still use Twitter / X in its current state?
The platform is complete and utter garbage, and now that Elon in his infinite wisdom decided to allow everyone to earn a blue checkmark and monetize themselves, the platform is now completely broken.
I’m a cryptocurrency guy, so I love reading about the topic, and don’t get me wrong, Crypto Twitter / X has always been a dumpster fire, but now it has become a cesspool of bots hocking their airdrop tokens, which of course, are all just scams designed to entice users to hand over their private keys, so that the robot owners could steal all of their coins and tokens.
I personally think Twitter / X will always have a bot problem, but allowing these bots to dress themselves in blue checkmarks, and even worse, monetize their garbage via posting and commenting was a recipe for complete and utter chaos on the once beloved platform.
Anyway, with great sadness, I decided to just leave Twitter / X. I did not delete my account, just so that I would maintain my handle going forward, to prevent possible imposters in case I ever make it out of the slums (not likely) and rise to fame. I deleted my bookmark, so that I won’t be tempted to see what the latest gossip is on Twitter / X going forward.
I was probably going to leave the platform eventually anyway, due to Elon mulling over an idea right now to charge every user a dollar to use Twitter / X to as he says… fix the bot problem.
I for one would not trust a company like Twitter / X with my financial information, especially considering the fact that Elon wants to turn Twitter / X into the next WeChat, a Swiss army knife digital platform if you will.
No thanks mister Musk… I’m out!
