The Fate of Moons Lies in the Balance

If the r/CryptoCurrency moderators do receive control of Moons from Reddit how will they use them?

I’ve been thinking about this a lot ever since Reddit rug pulled the r/CryptoCurrency sub-Reddit, and although many of you would disagree with me, I think the old way of just earning Moons for up votes on posts and comments was a very flawed system, and it was easily gamed.

I think if they do get them back, they should implement them the same way the old Reddit Coins system used to work. Folks should buy them on exchanges such as Kraken, and then use them for awarding your fellow Redditors, not just on the r/CryptoCurrency sub-Reddit, but on any sub-Reddit, or to anyone’s Moon compatible cryptocurrency wallet as well.

If they don’t get the code from Reddit, I think the moderators should just create a tipping system instead, kind of like the way Brave tried to do it with their browser extension, but this would be better, because you could use any browser you want, and possibly via the Reddit telephone application as well, but instead of just Moons, you could gift any cryptocurrency.

What do you guys think, or is the r/CryptoCurrency sub-Reddit just better off allowing the free market to choose how people thank one another. Maybe everyone should just get into the habit of leaving their cryptocurrency address of choice in their Reddit profile description… would this be a better idea?
