X / Twitter Suspended my Account for no Reason

Disclaimer: This post is a modified version of a comment that I made on YouTube.

X just suspended my account for no reason this past month.

I believe it was because I refused to pay $8 for a blue checkmark, but obviously… I can’t prove this.

Anyway, how could Elon ever make X into an all-in-one platform for people if you could easily be suspended out of the blue for no apparent reason whatsoever.

This next bit was my response to Elon Musk telling advertisers to go duck themselves during an interview with Andrew Ross Sorkin at the New York Times DealBook Summit:

It’s up to individual companies on whether or not they want to advertise on any platform, and after spending the last year off and on the new Elon Musk owned X, the platform is still the same old garbage as it was before, except now all the spammers and bots have blue checkmarks next to their usernames.

There is no need or reason for X to exist at this point in my opinion if they cannot survive without the aid of advertisers. If people really need and want X enough, they will pay a measly 8 bucks a month to keep the platform going.

If not… so long, and thanks for all the fish!

X really doesn’t help people in any way, or serve any real purpose, so if it went away tomorrow, most folks wouldn’t care.

Elon and so many others have painted this fake narrative that X / Twitter is some sort of public town square, a utility if you will, but it just isn’t.

If the government thought it was, they would simply regulate it, and make it a public utility.
